I have always loved teaching and I have had tremendous fun whilst doing it.  It has taught me so much about England and Germany and I have met with an astonishing number of interesting, intelligent, kind and resourceful people.

From 1989 until 1994 I taught German Language classes mainly for Surrey County Council at the Danesfield (Woking) and Oasthouse (Staines) Institutes for Adult Education .  I obtained the Adult Education City and Guilds Teacher Certificate (730 ACSET Stage I and II) and the Certificate of Education (Further Education) awarded by the University of Greenwich at Brooklands College in July 1992.

I have also taught German to business/corporate learners ranging from basic communication skills to the more advanced professional or technical language.  My teaching of German has always included aspects of cultural awareness, social communication and historical development.

I offer German language tuition at all levels

For students
Following exam courses: German language GCSE (to be re-introduced from 2007), AS-level, A-level, Language Degree

For private learners
For people with a special interest in the language, culture and history of German speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

For business/corporate learners
Customised teaching for corporate learners; I am currently writing and designing a new course for ‘German4Business’ for the corporate level

Tuition can be arranged in house for corporate learners. For students and private learners, teaching/coaching can take place either at the tutor’s office in Staines, Middlesex, or the student’s home.

Rates for teaching vary depending on competency and individual requirements.
